About us
The Surselva Romontscha was founded on march 18th 2006 as successor to the Romania (1896) and Renania (1920) societies. It is affiliated to the Lia Rumantscha and is concerned with promoting the romash language and culture in approximately 40 communities in the Surselva and Plaun regions in Western Grison.
In cooperation with the Lia Romontscha’s regional office, Surselva Romontscha engages in project guidance, information campaigns and service arrangements as efforts to support the conscience and presence of the romansh language and culture in every day life.
